As of January 1, 2016, he was appointed Head of the Exploration and Science Domain of Thales Alenia Space Italia ; in addition, he was appointed Head of the Turin site. Having previously worked in technical and managerial and development roles for several programs, since 2013 he has been appointed Exomars Program Director. From 1997 to 2013 he worked as Program Manager of the International Space Station programs, specifically for New Nasa Initiaitve, Nodes 2 & 3, Cupola, MPLM Sustaining Engineering and Cygnus Pressurized Cargo Module. At Alenia Spazio, prior to the merger with Thales, he served as Program and Operation Manager, gaining experience in manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing, as well as new technology development. He also held other significant roles such as Product Assurance Manager, Assembly Intergation and Test Manager, Lunch Operation Manager and Project Manager in programs such as Spacelab, Tehered Satellite, IRIS, Lageos, Hipparcos and SAX X -ray Satellite. Born in Avigliana (Turin) in 1955, he studied Aeronautical Construction at the Avogadro Institute in Turin.
