SPACE COMPETITION FOR VARIOUS CATEGORIES OF STUDENTS BETWEEN 7 AND 22 YEARS. ALTEC IS PARTNER OF THE INITIATIVE. DEADLINES: 15 January 2016 (HIGH SCHOOL AND UNIVERSITIES) and March 31, 2016 (ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL).
The ODYSSEUS II project aims to inspire young people throughout Europe to engage in space exploration through a series of educational activities. The main activity of the project is a fun-oriented educational contest (The Youth for Space Challenge) that combines scientific learning with hands-on experience. Organized in multiple rounds, the contest targets all pupils and students in Europe, wherever they are living and irrespective of their cultural background or language. The ultimate aim of the project is to foster the development of qualified scientists, engineers and technicians in areas relevant to the priorities of EU space policy.
Choose your group and get ready for and exciting adventure to space:
– Skywalkers (elementary and secondary school)
– Pioneers (high school)
– Explorers (undergraduate)
To participate all contestants must submit a paper (image or project) related to one of the themes identified for each category.
The deadlines for submission expire on Jan. 15, 2016 for the Pioneers and Explorers, while for the Skywalkers the deadline is 31 March 2016.
The best entries in all categories will receive a range of attractive prizes such as educational visits and internships at research centers, travel opportunities, telescopes, gadgets competition, i Pads with e-books and space theme applications.
